Description
A dusk view of the Pennybacker Bridge in Austin, Texas with dramatic sunset clouds, reflective waters of the Colorado River and steady rush hour traffic on Route 360.
The bridge opened for traffic December 3, 1982 and is named for Percy V. Pennybacker Jr., who designed bridges for the Texas Highway Department and was a pioneer in the technology of welded structures.
