Description
This was the view early one morning behind our site while camping at Kerr Lake in North Carolina on a stopover traveling south. The autumn color reflections were just a bit distorted by a slight ripple in the calm waters of this beautiful lake creating a wonderful abstract composition.
Kerr Lake is a reservoir along the border of the states of North Carolina and Virginia. It is impounded by the John H. Kerr Dam, constructed between 1947 and 1952 to produce hydroelectricity and to provide flood control.
Located in Vance and Warren counties at North Carolina's north-central border with Virginia, Kerr Lake State Recreation Area is a collective of eight access areas around the shoreline of this 50,000-acre reservoir. Campers can choose from seven campground and hundreds of campsites to enjoy a serene night by the lake.

Fantastic dance of color, light and shadow. Nature's way of painting an abstract is beautiful. Fantastic capture. l/f
