Artist's Description

The Bandera County Courthouse, built in 1890 at the corner of Main and Pecan streets in Bandera, Texas, is a Renaissance Revival style building designed by San Antonio architect B. F. Trester. It is three-story building with a central clock tower made from rusticated limestone cut from a local quarry and laid by itinerant Russian stonemasons.
A blending of Indian, Mexican, Polish and Western cultures gives Bandera, also known as the Cowboy Capital of the World, a unique ambiance not found elsewhere in Texas.
Bandera is the county seat of Bandera County, Texas, United States, in the Texas Hill Country, which is part of the Edwards Plateau.
