Description
"Big Hogan" is a natural arch eroded in de Chelly sandstone in Monument Valley, Arizona. It is so named because it resembles the appearance of the inside of a 'hogan' - a Navajo dwelling. It was early morning when we sat down in this natural amphitheatre and listened to a beautiful haunting melody played by our guide on a Navajo flute and enjoyed the sound echoing within these walls.
