Description
Bridal Veil Falls is basically a drive-to waterfall with a chance to stretch out the legs while making the high-speed yet twisty drive along Highway 50 between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. Sitting at an elevation of 3,200 feet, Bridal Veil provides easy access to the American River. It's part of the Eldorado National Forest, located in the central Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. A Mediterranean climate extends over most of this forest, creating warm, dry summers, and cold, wet winters. Vegetation is mixed conifers with riparian vegetation along the river.

Mr. Jurgen, my dear sir, the variety of subject matter in your gallery and the sublime beauty of your gallery really delights the senses beyond words. Bridal veil seems to be a very popular name and the most common name for waterfalls. At about 360 feet tall, Bridal Veil is the tallest waterfall in Colorado. It is located right outside the mountain town of Telluride in southern Colorado. You can see some shots of it in my gallery, if you're interested.
