This is a view of the west facade of the famous Chartres Cathedral with hydrangea in full bloom in the foreground. This is a Roman Catholic church in Chartres, France, about 50 miles southwest of Paris. Mostly constructed between 1194 and 1220, it is built in the Gothic and Romanesque styles and is designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
