Description
The calm waters of the Dead Lakes made for some interesting reflections in this monochrome photograph at Wewhahitchka, Florida.
The Dead Lakes State Recreation Area in Northwest Florida takes its name from the skeleton husks of thousands of dead Cypress tree trunks that have dotted the swamp since a naturally occurring sandbar dammed the Chipola River sometime in the last few hundred years.
