Artist's Description
Beautiful morning light embraces the historic Caldwell County Courthouse in the center of Lockhart, Texas.
The courthouse was built in 1894 to replace the existing courthouse, which was too small for the growing county. The courthouse was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1976 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing property of the Caldwell County Courthouse Historic District on January 3, 1978.
The courthouse was built in the Second Empire architectural style, with the design often attributed to Alfred Giles; however, recent research indicates the building was designed by Henry E.M. Immigrating to the United States in the 1970s, I built a reputation in portrait photography, and ran a...

Great capture of a beautiful building. One of my favorite subjects. I've shot all 56 county courthouses in Montana, all 39 in Washington, 3/4 of Idaho's 44, and several others from California to West Virginia. As I said, one of my favorite subjects, and you've done a terrific job with this one.
Jurgen Lorenzen replied:
Thank you, Bryan! I admire you for that effort!
