A pair of Yucatan Wrens (Campylorhynchus yucatanicus) photographed during courting ritual in the shrub alongside a dirt road outside the small town of Rio Lagartos in Mexico.
The Yucatan wren is a nearly threatened species of bird endemic to Mexico. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry shrub land, and it is only found on the narrow coastal strip of the northern Yucatán Peninsula.
