Description
I photographed this Curved-billed Thrasher with its over-the-shoulder look at Desert Trails near Tucson, Arizona. Of the various thrashers in the southwestern deserts, the Curve-billed is the most familiar and most often seen. It makes itself more conspicuous than the rest, dashing about in the open, calling a loud whit-wheet! from the tops of mesquites.

You are so welcome my pleasure. I favorited it until I had an opportunity to come back to comment on it. I appreciate your lovely reply. 💕

This is such a marvelous shot Jurgen. I love the lighting and composition, really showcasing this wonderful bird. I witness their antics and activities each day in my own Sonoran Desert garden of joy. I am always amazed how they land on the Cholla Cactus, and build their nest in them. Their songs are of such delight. LF Janet 💕
