Description
Spectacular looking Red Vein Indian Mallow is an evergreen shrub bearing a profusion of showy, orange, bell-shaped flowers adorned with prominent crimson veining. Resembling Chinese lanterns, they dangle like porcelain earrings from long stalks. Blooming for months, from spring to fall, they attract butterflies and hummingbirds. The flowers are edible, raw or cooked, with their sweet flavor increasing as they mature.
Photographed at Denver Botanic Gardens in the Cheeseman Park neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Jurgen, I have seen one of these in a neighborhood garden, and haven't yet figured out how to capture it. You really highlighted the essence of this unique bloom.
